The weekend

Indulge yourself with a weekend of meditation and yoga in beautiful surroundings in the Lake District. We will have a variety of yoga styles to challenge and invigorate, and then to relax and unwind, complimented with guided meditations and Yoga Nidra. Throughout the weekend there will be plenty of healthy and nutritious homemade food to enjoy. Feel free to bring a bottle of wine, put your feet up and relax in the peaceful surroundings with good company.


 Weekend Itinerary


5.00 pm                 Arrival and enjoy a selection of homemade cakes with tea or coffee.

7.00                        Homemade soup and introduction to the weekend.

8.30                        Guided meditation



7.30 am                 Morning meditation

8.00 – 10.00          Ashtanga yoga

10.30                      Breakfast – Toast, Cereal, Fresh Fruit, Porridge, Selection of Herbal Teas

11.30 – 2.00          Free time including buffet lunch of homemade soup and bread

2.00 – 4.00            Yin yoga

4.00 – 6.00            Free time

6.00                        Dinner

8.00                        Meditation/Yoga Nidra



7.30am                  Morning Meditation

8.00 – 10.00          Yoga

10.30                     Breakfast

11.30 – 12.30       Technique workshop

1.00 – 4.00            Free time including buffet lunch of homemade soup and snacks

The food will be wholesome, homemade and vegetarian.


The Venue

Fawcett Mill Fields is perhaps one of the best-kept secrets in the Lake District. It is an absolutely astonishing place, the perfect venue for a yoga retreat. The Mill dates back to 1517 and has been patiently restored over many years to retain original features in stone and oak. It is set in 5 acres of woodland that boast a wildlife garden, herbaceous borders and a large lawn. To see for yourself please visit their website on

The bedrooms at the Mill are bright, charming, comfy and clean – there are 3 double en-suites, 2 double rooms, 5 twin rooms and 1 triple (a twin and a double) The rooms will be allocated on a first come first served basis or on a request to share.

There is also a 4 person sauna for that post yoga sweat and a couple of sitting rooms with open log fires for rest and relaxation.

Full price £225. A non-refundable deposit of £50 will be required to secure your place on the workshop, with the balance due by August 1st 2014.

Early bird price £195 if booked and paid in full before June 6th 2014.

This price includes 2 nights accommodation, all yoga, meditation and meals. Students who book early will get the option to reserve a room of their choice.
